Author Christopher Shaw Encounters God Through Daily Reflection

Author Christopher Shaw shares his heart for the books he’s written. He desires to “be a facilitator of profoundly renovating encounters with the person of God”. Check out his books HERE.

The warm reception of the books that the Lord has given me the privilege to write has not ceased to amaze me. I don’t remember a time in which one of the goals in my life was to produce a book. Instead, the opportunities the ministry offers surprised me and, without realizing what was happening, I found myself immersed in the task of producing daily reflections.

The fact that those reflections eventually became part of the Alza tus ojos book is due more to the insistence of my team in Desarrollo Cristiano Internacional [International Christian Development] than to some personal ambition.

Read with Coffee-min

Since I published that first book in 2005, I have received hundreds of testimonies from people who, through the blessed grace of God, have been built up by the daily reading of these devotionals. Along the way, many people have encouraged me to consider the task of producing another book with a similar structure to that of Alza tus ojos.

Read in a Field-min

De día y de noche is the fruit of those inquietudes. The process of elaborating these reflections has been arduous, especially because the effort was made in the midst of intense personal struggles. In this time of trials, the Scriptures have been my source of comfort and inspiration. Over and over again, the Lord ministered to me in amazing ways while I meditated in the more profound meanings of the revealed Truth.

Looking to the Mountain-min

It is my hope that these reflections may serve to encourage a process of dialogue with the Lord, opening the way so he can also bring comfort, encouragement, correction, and orientation to the life of the reader. For me, this is the most valuable thing this book has: the possibility to be a facilitator of profoundly renovating encounters with the person of God.
